Yoga Nidra Eye Pillow
Eye pillows are a powerful tool for enhancing your yoga practice and promoting deeper relaxation. The pillow gently forms to the contours of your face to block out light while the gentle weight of flax seeds apply a light pressure to relieve tension in the muscles around your eyes, and the scent of lavender offers calming aromatherapy to help ease the mind and reduce stress.
To use the eye pillow, simply place it over your eyes while in Savasana, or any comfortable reclined position. Allow yourself to fully surrender to the sensation of the pillow and your breath. The pillow can be used at room temperature or placed in the microwave for 10 second increments. To soothe headaches or tired eyes, consider placing the pillow in the freezer for a few hours before use.
To care for your eye pillow, keep it in a cool, dry place when not in use. If the lavender scent begins to fade, you can gently massage the pillow to release more of the lavender flower aroma, or spritz the inner pouch with lavender hydrosol or essential oil. Remove the outer linen slip to wash as needed. Hand wash or use a gentle, cold cycle. Lay flat to dry and replace again before use.
